Our Beloved Serra Clayton Pettay of Olathe, CO was called up to heaven after an unexpected passing on December 27, 2025. Serra was born and raised in St. Augustine, FL on May 23, 1986 to Lathan Clayton and Rhonda Nobles.
Serra was a devoted and loving mother to her three sons, Mason, Brantlee, and Kingslee, who were the greatest joy of her life. Her family meant everything to her, and she made it a priority to create meaningful memories with them whenever she could.
Serra had a deep love for adventure and the outdoors. She especially enjoyed floating the river, snowmobiling, fishing, four wheeling, and sightseeing in the mountains. Whether it was chasing the northern lights or planning a simple weekend getaway, Serra embraced life with excitement and a sense of wonder. Sundays often found her cheering on her favorite NFL teams, the Raiders and the Cowboys, a tradition she truly enjoyed.
She also loved cooking out at home, surrounded by family and her beloved dogs- Ozzy, Biscuit, and Nikita - Those moments of togetherness, laughter, and love meant the most to her.
Serra took great pride in her work as a waitress, a role she held for many years. For her, it was far more than a job. She welcomed everyone with warm smiles, genuine care, and respect for others. Serra had a rare ability to connect with people, making each customer feel seen, valued, and truly welcomed. Her kindness and authenticity left an everlasting impact on those she encountered.
Serra is survived by her husband, Chris Pettay; her sons, Mason, Brantlee, and Kingslee; her mother and stepfather, Rhonda Nobles and J.D. Nobles; her sister, Forest Chapman; and multiple brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lathan Allen Clayton; her brother, Kevin Clayton; and her father-in-law, Kevin Pettay.
Serra will be remembered for her vibrant smile, kindness, resilience, adventurous heart, her compassion, and the deep love she poured into her family and everyone she met.
Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
