Seth Austin Alexander Hicks, 21, of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 3rd. Seth is survived by his mother and step-father, Stacey and Joey Swafford of Cleveland, his father, Steve Hicks of Athens, his brother, Morgan Denney of Carrollton, TX, his grandmothers, Linda Graham of Cleveland and Lou Hicks of Athens, his aunt, Angela Graham of Cleveland, his uncles Chris Hicks and Donnie Hicks and special cousins Josh Hicks and Will Hicks of Athens. He was predeceased by his grandfathers C.R. "Dick" Graham and Gary Don Hicks.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends including his friends Cody McDaniel, Gage McCann, Cole Cooper, Riley Harmon, Gracie Harmon, Caleb Ledford, Chanda McMillan, Hunter Bilbrey, Garrett Fletcher, KyLeigh Carroll, Nicasio Talanao and special coaches Ben Smith, Ryan Ensminger and the wrestling staff at Lake Forest Middle School and Bradley Central High School.
We ask that anyone who called Seth their friend, go be a blessing to others as he was a blessing to you. There are too many friends to name but we know you in our hearts. He spoke of so many, so often.
Please continue to keep the family in your prayers in the coming days and weeks as we mourn our Seth.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Pastor Charlie Campbell officiating. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
