Sevella Wasson Singhas
Born February 18, 1941 - Died May 31, 2025
Sevella Wasson Singhas of Inwood, WV passed from this Earthy Life on the 31st of May 2025.
She was born on February 18, 1941, in China Grove, North Carolina to Kenneth and Goldie Sprinkle Wasson. Sevella was just 4 when her parents moved to Martinsburg to be closer to family. She was a graduate of the Class of 1959 at Charles Town High School.
At the age of 18, and just 8 days after they met, she married the love of her life: Edward Archibald Singhas. Together they shared 49 years. Eddie and Sevella were blessed with 3 children, daughters Amber "Tink", and Dawn "Dodie", and son, Edward "Bubby".
Family was truthfully their priority, no matter the circumstances of the week, Eddie and Sevella made it a point to keep the tradition of having doughnuts and spending time with their young children every Saturday morning.
Sevella was unwavering in her faith. Her conviction led her to donate time to charitable organizations. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She did not miss many a Sunday Service. Serving in such callings as: Primary Teacher, First Counselor in the Relief Society Organization, and Compassionate Service Leader. Her time with her Church family meant the world to her.
During her undeniably blessed 84 years, she worked at numerous companies in Martinsburg. Including Double Day Books, Corning, Farmers and Merchants Bank, Nickel's Department Store and Plaza Personnel. She also found great satisfaction as a representative of Avon.
Sevella's love of music brought her to singing with the Belle's of Berkeley. She had a love for flowers in her yard, even at the age of 80 plus and the behest of her family, she wanted to tend to her flowers every spring and summer.
She was the quintessential Grandma, crocheting blankets for her Grandchildren and her Great Grandchildren. She made delicious Christmas cookies. Everyone anxiously awaited her potato salad on holidays.
We would be remiss if we didn't tell you she was a long-time devoted fan of the Washington Commanders.
Hail Commanders!
