Shae Lue Maness Wells, 73, of Greenwood, widow of Johnny Wells, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born January 18, 1952, in Jackson, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Mary Jane Dennison Maness. She was a graduate of Lone Oak High School and attended Paducah Community College. Shae retired from Walmart after many years of dedicated service.
She was a member of the Upper Savannah Shooters Association and a devoted volunteer at the Greenwood Humane Society. Shae had a deep love for animals and especially cherished her time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her four sons, Trey Wells (Tori) of Greenwood, Daxell Wells (Wendy) of Albania, Shaylor Wells, and Tennyson Wells; five daughters, Regan Price (Chuck), Marijayne Wells, and Bailey Wells, all of Greenwood, Brittney Wells of Abbeville, and Colby Wells of Lexington; fourteen grandchildren, Tres, Wells, Lyric, Larkin, Logan, Langston, DJ, Ever, Michena, Trustin, Novel, Noble, Lucas, and Thomas; and one great-grandchild, Bryicen. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Gabennesch, and her beloved pets, Maggie, Oliver, Millie, Weiner, Glenda, Doris Day, and Susie Q. Shae is also survived by special friend, John Switzer.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Greenwood Humane Society.
