Shane R. Elliott, age 40, of Gratis, OH passed away Monday, January 24, 2022 with his children, Caleb James Elliott and Grace Elizabeth Elliott. Shane was born October 4, 1981 in Oxford, OH. Shane was a very devoted father, son, brother, and family member to many. Shane unconditionally loved his family and supported them all his life. Shane was a graduate of Eaton High School and was a Lead Auto Body Technician at Weber’s Body and Frame in West Alexandria. He was a member of the Gratis Fraternal Order of Eagles. Shane was known for his love of the outdoors, and could often be found spending time at the beach or adventuring with family. He will be remembered for his passion for skydiving, riding motorcycles, and tinkering with just about anything. He is survived by his parents, James and Sandra Elliott of Eaton; brother Matthew (Kacy) Elliott and their children, Cedar, Magnolia, and Summit of Covington, KY; paternal aunt Donna (Bruce) Westover; paternal uncles Ken (Kellie) Elliott, David Randal Elliott (Victor Carriker), Bill Elliott, Rick (Judy) Elliott, Terry (Tammy) Elliott; maternal uncles Robert (Cheryl) Ballinger, Phillip Ballinger, John Ballinger, Ed (Tammi) Ballinger; maternal aunts Roberta Moore, Diana (Butch) Hayes, Tonya (Brian) Bulach; and numerous cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Delmer and Fay Elliott; maternal grandparents Robert L and Alice E. Ballinger; uncle Delmer Elliott; aunt Virginia Elliott; and cousin Karen Hayes. Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
