Shane R. Hudson

Shane R. Hudson, age 51, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home.
Shane was born on October 26, 1972 in Peoria, IL to L. Blake and Cindy L. (Kolimas) Hudson.
Surviving are his mother, Cindy L. Denny of Chillicothe; his father, L. Blake (Marilyn) Hudson of Marquette Heights, IL; his sister, Shennon (Rodney) Randall of Chillicothe, IL; his half-brothers, Scott (Nicole) Hudson of Low Point, IL and Joshua (Kaley) Hudson of Washington, IL; his nieces and nephews, Krista (Trent) Fandel, Andrew (Taylor Lessard) Wagle, Anna (Austin) Karch, Siarra (Thomas) Hudson and Heather Hudson; and his great-nieces and nephews, Kylee, Ashton, Bentley, Aubreyann, Easton, Paislee, Brynlee, Kason and Reid. Also surviving are his aunt and uncle, Ed and Brenda Sparks and his cousins, Jason and Alicia Sparks. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Wanda Franks; his stepdad, Rodney Denny; and a great-nephew, Kaleb Cherry.
Shane was a Quality Control Specialist for Allied Welding for over 20 years. He was a member of the Peoria Casting Club and Chillicothe Recreation Area. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals and Fighting Illini fan. Shane was a staple at Bananas, now Moon Tower, in Chillicothe and he loved his family there as well as his Allied family. He also love his cats, Jax, Sasha and Freddie.
Shane was a one of a kind guy who was known and loved by many in his community, often known as ZZ Man. He always had a new story or an old memory to tell that brought laughter in the witty way he told those stories. He loved fishing with his dad and his buddies and he always showed up hungry at the family functions where he could get the kids laughing with his teasing antics. Shane loved his sisters baking and he loved his friends and was especially close to Brian Page, Justin Vanderheydt and Tom Ahlgrim, as well as his buddy Ryan Squires who preceded him in death. He touched many, many lives with his friendship and he loved his momma most.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
