Shanee Chinn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, LLC - Medina on Sep. 25, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Shanee "Nae Nae" Chinn, 40, of Medina, NY, went home to the Lord on September 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with a rare form of epithelial skin cancer.

Born on June 16, 1985, to her strong-willed, dedicated, beautiful mother, Anita Chinn, and her devoted, influential father, Harold Hill. Shanee brought light and joy to her parents from the very beginning.

Shanee graduated from Medina High School in 2003 and soon after began working in the medical field. Her professional career was marked by dedication and hard work. As a medical professional, Shanee showed grace, kindness, and a joyful spirit. She was especially known for her contagious laughter-once she got going…everyone around her couldn't help but to laugh along with her.

When Shanee was not fulfilling her duties at work, you could always find her spreading her love and laughter; to the people that meant the most to her. Shanee spread her love so much- that God blessed her with 4 kings, her children. The boys were Shanee's pride and joy. Shanee gave them her all; all the way until her last breath. A mother's love is undying; and will forever live on in them.

Shanee is survived by her committed mother, Anita Chinn of Medina, NY; her loving father, Harold (Bertha) Hill Sr. of Albion, NY; her grandmother, Glennis Chinn of Medina, NY; Aunts and Uncles: Carolyn Chinn, of Atlanta, GA, Jimmie Lee "Pokey" Chinn Jr. of Hilbert, WI, Kenneth Chinn of Lockport, NY, Douglas Chinn of Pittsburg, PA, Jacqueline Chinn of Medina, NY and special cousin , Sabrina Chinn, of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by her children: Zakius Chinn, Kendrick, Keyon, and Kaydence Russaw; her siblings: Christopher Chinn of Lockport, NY, Jennifer Chinn of Lockport, NY, Shironda Hill of Rochester, NY, Fredrick (Latrisha) Poole, Michael Thompson, Gregory Thompson, and Harold Hill Jr, all of Medina, NY.; her special crew, Eboni, Wendy, and Tiana; and her besties. Shanee was also blessed with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is also survived by her loving fiancé Donny Porcha of Rochester, NY, his children: Dontae and Camryn Porcha of Rochester ,NY, and his mother Kathleen Cody.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jimmie L. Chinn Sr.; uncle, Harold Chinn; niece, Sylas R. Yancey; her grandmother, Margaret Ann Thomas; and aunts, Mildred Hill and Gayle Robinson.

In honor of Shanee, family and friends will gather on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM -11:30 AM at Faith Bible Baptist Church, 3064 N Gravel Rd, Medina, NY 14103, followed by a going home service at 11:30 AM. Burial will be private for the family..
