Shanna Terrell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory - Statesboro on Oct. 14, 2025.
Ms. Shanna Anola Terrell, age 51, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday, October 6th, 2025, at Ogeechee Area Hospice surrounded by loved ones. Shanna will be remembered as a beacon of selfless service and unconditional love, whose life's mission was to care for others. While we will miss her presence, we find peace knowing that she lived a life defined by her generosity and her boundless capacity for love.
Shanna was born in Bulloch County on July 26th, 1974. She attended Southeast Bulloch High School and Ogeechee Technical School. She later worked at Dollar General for many years. Shanna was a devoted caregiver who spent a lifetime putting the needs of others before her own. Her hands were rarely idle. When not caring for others she found joy in fishing, thrifting, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Hubert Robertson Terrell and Mary Abbott Terrell.
She is survived by the love of her life, Stacy Ranew and her son, Cody Ranew.
She is also survived by her sister Rhonda Smith (Jeff), her brothers Kerry Terrell (Angie) and Brent Terrell (Amy), nephews Dustin Terrell, Justin Donaldson, and Jeff Smith, a niece Madi Terrell, and many loving family members. In addition to her family, Shanna is lovingly remembered by her goddaughter, Rachel Bedford and her two god-grandchildren, Ariana and Ryan.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th at 2:00pm at Hubert Global Methodist Church with Reverend Richard Turner officiating.
Interment will be at Hubert Global Methodist Church cemetery.
Our family wishes to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. Your thoughts, prayers, and acts of kindness are deeply appreciated. We are sincerely grateful to the wonderful staff at Ogeechee Area Hospice for their compassionate care of Shanna during her short illness.
Our family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Ogeechee Area Hospice, PO Box 531, Statesboro, GA 30459.
