Shannon Secord Obituary
Shannon was born in Gaylord, MI to Florian and Darlene (Wolf) Latuszek on May 18, 1957. She graduated from Grayling High School in 1975. Shannon was a very simple and kind woman, yet she could be very strong-willed. Her pride in, and love for, her children and grandchildren was a favorite topic of conversation for her. While outdoors, she enjoyed gardening, camping, and picking berries. She also loved to play games such as cards, Scrabble, and Yahtzee, putting together puzzles, reading, and watching Hallmark movies while snuggled up in her pajamas. She loved all animals, especially her cats and dogs, and dreamed of owning a cow. Lastly, she made the world's best apple pie!
Shannon will be dearly missed by her son Jason (Jaimie) Secord of West Branch, MI and her daughter Jami (Wes) Dykema of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren Levi and Mariana; siblings Ronald (Cathy) Latuszek, Doug Latuszek, and Terri (Tom) Rose; and several nieces and nephews. Shannon is preceded in death by her parents Florian and Darlene Latuszek.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for her immediate family members on February 22 and her ashes will be spread with her mother's this summer. Condolences can be shared with Shannon's family at www.sorensonlockwood.com.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home.
