Shara Leigh Lederer, 63, beloved wife of Scott M. Lederer, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Stella Maris Hospice Center after a courageous and prolonged battle with Young Onset Alzheimer's disease.
Born to Theodore Leroy Meyerson and Phyllis Danita Meyerson of Highland, MD, Shara was the cherished sister of Lauren Long, Rayna Fauntleroy, and Amie Sevrin. She graduated from Churchill High School in Potomac, MD, and went on to attend the University of Maryland in College Park.
Shara built a dynamic and inspiring career in real estate, becoming a top-producing sales agent in the Baltimore Metro area. It was through her work in real estate that she met the love of her life, Scott, and the two were married in 2013. Prior to her real estate success, Shara was the proud owner and founder of Ta Elan, a beloved boutique in Clarksville, Maryland, known for its unique style and loyal clientele.
A woman of many passions, Shara was a lover of the beach, a devoted dog mom - especially to her sweet pup, Cookie, and had a lifelong admiration for horses. She had a deep appreciation for history and a refined eye for interior design, often bringing warmth, beauty, and meaning into every space she touched. Her creativity, intellect, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Shara is survived by her loving family: daughters Audra McShane and Alexandra O'Sullivan, son-in-law Ryan O'Sullivan, and son Matthew McShane with his fiancée Abbey Strott.
