MEXICO, NY - It is with heavy hearts that we announce Shari Ann Blowers (Piquet), 57, a beloved resident of the Mexico community, passed away peacefully in her home on May 13, 2025 after a tough battle with cancer and surrounded by her loving devoted family and friends the entire week prior.
Shari was born in the cool fall month of September and had a life rich with hard work, prideful motherhood, everlasting friendship, and always being true to her individual self. Shari will tell you her number one accomplishment of life was being a Momma Bear, and a more proud accomplishment she had was being a Mee-Mah. Shari understood the true meaning of sacrifice because not only did she work diligently to provide for her family, but she did anything and everything for the people she loved most no matter the cost. Shari was known for her strong will, her unique sense of humor and infectious personality. Shari's remarkable ability to accept everyone for who they were was a testament to her warm heart and her naturally maternal soul. Shari was a beacon of the knowledge life had taught her, and she was always one to give advice that was direct, tender, and empowering. One lesson she always lived by was that it wasn't about the money you made, the accomplishments you could boast; what mattered most was how you treated others and staying true to yourself regardless of what life could throw at you. She was an authentic soul that touched every life that came into hers.
Shari was preceded in death by her mother Lona Piquet, Her father Bernard Piquet Sr., her aunt Leona Piquet, and her son Dustin Piquet. Surviving are her children Brandon Zukovsky (Felicia), Zachary Zukovsky (Sierra), Jade Blowers (Ryan); her brothers Bernie Piquet (Judy), Gary Piquet (Tina) and Devin Piquet(Carrie); and her 7 beautiful grandchildren Cameron, Mackenzie, Carter, Anya-May, Urich, Finnley and Odin; along with her bonus grandkids Annabelle and Alistair. Also surviving is her and her mother's beloved dog Sadie and her grand-pup Marley.
The family and her close friends will be hosting a Celebration of Life at a later date at a time to be determined, in the hopes that all of us who knew and loved Shari, might be able to celebrate what she brought into this world, rather than what she has taken out of it.
