Sharon "Sherri" Ann Bialecki
March 13, 1952 - December 31, 2025
Sherri Bialecki was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on December 31, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Sherri lived a joyful life filled with fun, family, grit, and a faith that refused to be shaken-no matter what health battle stood before her.
Sharon Ann Weide was born on March 13, 1952 in Hustisford, Wisc., the daughter of Edgar and Eunice Weide. She became a Child of God through Baptism on April 6, 1952. She attended St. Matthews Lutheran elementary school and was confirmed into her faith there on April 3, 1966.
She was a 1970 graduate of Oconomowoc High School. Sherri, Dave and Trisha reaffirmed their relationship with Jesus publicly by believer's baptism on September 28, 2019.
Sherri was an employee of the Racine Journal Times for over 25+ years where she met many wonderful people who became like family to her and to us. She served as a dedicated front desk receptionist, taking classified ads for the paper and placing obituaries. She loved her work, her friends and built lasting relationships with friends and customers alike.
Sherri married the love of her life, Dave Bialecki, on August 25, 1984. Together they built a home filled with laughter and love. Sherri and Dave built a marriage and a home that was honest, loving, cheerful and devoted to knowing the Lord. Together they built deep friendships that have lasted their lifetime. Sherri loved to travel and plan family vacations. Her favorite trips were cruises, and together they went on 5 cruises and countless other trips. She also enjoyed their cabin in Lake Delton, which they owned for the past 23 years. She loved hosting family and friends there. She called it her "Happy Place." Again, the friendships she made in the Dells, became our second family, where she raised kids and grandkids together. Everyone there was always caring for one another and planning the next party. Their place in the Wisconsin Dells also became the location for the annual Weide Family Reunion.
Sherri's warm and friendly personality always made everyone feel welcome. She was the life of the party who always had a joke or a story to tell. She remembered the little details of everyone's life and made them feel special. She cherished time with her loved ones, but her favorite title was "Grandma". She went above and beyond for her grandchildren, they called her the G-Force. Her love exploded especially during the holidays when her decorations and traditions were larger than life.
Sherri is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Dave Bialecki; her daughters, Jennifer (Brett) Miller, Jody Thorson, and Trisha (Dan) Glynn; as well as her grandchildren, Justin (Alexis) Thorson, Julia (Gustavo) Clara De Barros, and Madilynn and Emelia Miller. She is also survived by her sister, Marlene (Harry) Redfield; her brother, Rick (Leesa) Weide; brother-in-law, Dom Bialecki, and sister-in-law, Barb Bialecki.
Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Eunice Weide; by Dave's parents, Dominic and Lorraine Bialecki, and sister-in-law, Kathy Bialecki.
A memorial service celebrating Sherri's life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory at 3 p.m. Visitation on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the teams of Aurora Health Care. Sherri spent over 42 years with the Oncology team for colon cancer, several breast cancers and skin cancers. A deep appreciation to Dr. Mullane and Kelly Koneski NP. and Marissa, who through the years became not only trusted providers but trusted friends. Thank you to Dr. Hussan, Dr. Rosenberg (radiologist) the lab technicians, the receptionist, the CNAs/techs and the nurses. Sherri was also hospitalized several times at Aurora Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. She made connections with everyone on a personal level. The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses, aids, lab personnel, housekeepers, and everyone including the greeters who made her and us feel well cared for. Additionally, we would like to extend our gratitude to the transition RN who called frequently to keep her out of the hospital and at home. Thank you to Aurora Palliative Health Care at Home and Aurora Advocate Health Care Hospice for their tender holistic care (Claudia RN and Ashley CNA). We cannot thank you all enough. She received fantastic, consistent care with Aurora's Teams.
There were also many, many special friends and family who assisted her transition from her "I'm still Alive Celebration" that was put together so swiftly and with such care in October 2025,
to palliative care and then to hospice. Sherri often said, "I feel the love." Sherri sewed many seeds in her lifetime, and the harvest of her love is a legacy that will last generations to come. The generosity of her friends and faithfulness of her family who visited and prayed from a distance will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Sherri's Go Fund me page (link on funeral home website), which the family will send to various funds Sherri loved and will assist in funeral costs and cancer care and research.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:21
