Sharon L. Clutton of Willow Grove passed away, on January 3, 2023 in Doylestown Hospital. She was 75. Sharon was the beloved wife of Michael Taylor. She was born in Warminster, Pa a daughter of the late Edward and Regina Devlin. Raised in Jenkintown by her wonderful grandparents Daddy Joe and Granny.
Sharon enjoyed taking walks in the park, making memories, country line dancing, garage sales, driving to a destination with an idea of a faster way to get there "short cut" only to get lost and have fun exploring new places. She Loved being with her grandchildren and watching them grow up.
Sharon taught her family; don't leave angry, be careful with your words and how you say it. She was always the peacemaker. Sharon was famous for her laugh and would light up any room bringing smiles, laughter and happiness. Her laugh was described as contagious or infectious because you couldn't help to laugh along with her until your belly hurt. Sharon worked for Abington Township from 1991 until her retirement in 2013. She developed special friendships and even after retirement remained close with all, meeting monthly for lunch together.
Friends of Bill Wilson mourns the loss of a beloved sister in recovery. Her nickname in the rooms were "little Sharon" or "mom". She believed emphatically in the success of AA, staying sober one day at a time for 34 years. Sharon would say she didn't go through the 12 steps of AA but lives them on a daily basis. Sharon loved working with people and seeking recovery for active addiction. Through her seeking, she gave hope to so many that recovery is possible. She met people where they were and did not attempt to impose on them a fixed idea of what recovery should look like. She did so with great courage, humility, compassion and humor and hence, infecting everyone she met with the joy of recovery. Though once defeated by the drink, Sharon triumphed in life.
In addition to her husband Michael, Sharon is survived by, two daughters, Jennifer Samok and her husband Michael and Jeanne Coughenour and her husband Nick, two grandchildren Marissa and Molly.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, January 28, for those that are Immunocompromised, visitation will be from 11am to 11:15am then 11:15 am for all to 12:30 pm in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N.
