Sharon "Sherri" Cottenham

Sharon "Sherri" Cottenham,76, passed away at Vista Medical Medical Center in Waukegan, IL on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. She was born in Waukegan on August 21, 1947 and was a life long resident. She was employed at St. Therese Medical Center that merged with Vista East Medical Center for many years until retirement. She was an active member of Queen of Peace Church in North Chicago, IL. and served on the Parish Life Committee, being a valuable help with such activities as Pancake Breakfasts, Doughnut Sundays, and Spaghetti Dinners. She was also an avid reader and lover of Dachshunds.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Barre DiMaggio (David DiMaggio), grandchildren; Isabella Shanks (Austin) and Joseph DiMaggio, her sister, Susan Zinngrabe (Michael), her niece, Meghan Kory and nephews; Sean Kory and Colin Zinngrabe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Marjorie Cottenham, and several extended family members.
A graveside service will be on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. Fr. James Merold will officiate.
