Sharon Ladell DeJonghe, age 86, of Dundee, MI, passed away peacefully on Friday November 24, 2023, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee, Adrian, MI.
She was born on March 26,1936, in Tecumseh, MI and was one of two children born to Delmar Anderson and Thelma Denney Anderson. She attended school and graduated from Clinton High School in 1955.
Sharon was employed in many fields which include waitress, cook, and owner -operator of her own catering business ( all while raising five children). She was an Avon representative for 30 plus years, everyone knew where to go to get the great products.
Sharon loved to bake cookies for her family at Christmas and was always willing to cook or bake for any occasion. If you asked her niece it would be said that she made the BEST stuffing ever!
Her passion was bunnies, butterflies,her flowers and the color purple.
It was always noted that Sharon was stern and said what was on her mind but she was deeply loved by everyone
To cherish her memory she leaves behind her two sons Greg ( Elaine) DeJonghe of McGregor, Texas and Tim (Belinda) DeJonghe of Dundee, MI,
7 Grandchildren,10 great grandchildren, a special niece, Renate (Daryl) Kempher and nephew Jack (Kim) Garland.
She was preceded in death by her brother John Anderson, sons Ronald and David DeJonghe and daughter Darcy DeJonghe.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
