Sharon Jean Dilday passed away Wednesday, May 28th, 2025 at Southern Oaks Care Center in Pawnee, Oklahoma at the 77.
Sharon was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Luke Sylvester ( L.S."Doc") Rupe and Jessie Lou (Morphis) Rupe. Sharon graduated from Wetumka High School. She attended a California Trade School and received her Cosmetologist license. She was a salon business owner of Sha-Rue Shop. Sharon married Wendall Amos Dilday. Sharon enjoyed playing piano, moon player, gardening, baking pies, and crocheting. She also enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Club and Pink Ladies at the hospital. Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wendall Dilday, brother Jack Rupe, niece Charla (Rupe) Moody, niece Jackie Rupe and niece Shyla Rupe. She is survived by her brothers; Joe Rupe and wife Marylin of Wichita Falls, TX, Jimmie Rupe Sr. and wife Dayle of Texas, nieces; Tammy Adkins, Becky Gamble, Marsha (Rupe) Young, nephews; Jeff Rupe, Jimmie Rupe Jr., Kevin Rupe, Chris Rupe, Josiah Moody, 21 great nieces and nephews, 32 great, great nieces and nephew. Sharon is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Jimmie Rupe Jr., Jeremy Adkins, Casey Goad, Rowdy Young, and Richard Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Rupe, Jimmie Rupe Sr., Chris Rupe, Kevin Rupe, Cody Adkins, Jeff Rupe and Brad Gamble.
Viewing will be 1pm to 7pm, Friday, May 30, 2025 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at First Church of God in Holdenville with Pastor Josh Kespelher.
Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
