Sharon Ann Edge

Sharon Ann Edge, 77, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Panama City, Florida. She was born on July 4, 1948, in Frink, Florida, to the late George W. and Hazel Walden of Clarksville, Florida.

Sharon was kind, free-spirited, stylish, and wonderfully unapologetic about who she was. She was frank, honest, and straightforward - if you didn't want the truth, you knew better than to ask her. You never had to wonder what she was thinking, and she was always ready with a quick wit or a good joke. Sharon created a space where people could be fully themselves, knowing she would accept them exactly as they were.

She loved her sons, David and Danny, with her whole heart. They were her world, and she gave them everything she had - her time, her support, and her unwavering love.

Sharon was an amazing cook, best known for her famous spaghetti that everyone looked forward to. She loved the beach, where she lived and worked for many years, finding peace in the sound of the waves. She had a natural green thumb and took joy in gardening, watching things grow and bloom under her care. When she wasn't outside tending to her plants, she could almost always be found lost in a good book - reading was one of her greatest pleasures.

Sharon is survived by her two sons, David and Danny Edge of Panama City, FL; her mother, Hazel Walden of Clarksville; her brothers George "Bobo" Walden (Debbie) of Clarksville and Wayne Walden (Lisa) of Blountstown; and her sister Michelle Waldroff (Ken) of Altha. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, George W. Walden, and her brothers Troy "Big Bud" Walden, Roy "Little Bud" Walden, Kenny Walden, and Michael Walden.

Sharon lived her life with honesty, humor, and heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 3, 2026, at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. The visitation will begin at 12:00 PM CT and the service at 1:00 PM CT. Arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
