Sharon P. Ford, 80, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center.
Born March 17, 1945, in Renovo, Clinton County, she was a daughter of the late John "Jack" F. and Winifred A. (Ward) Perry. She married Gerald E. "Butch" Ford, Jr. on Dec. 31, 1966 and they were married 56 years.
She is survived by four children, Michele Auxt, Patricia Hostler (Arch), Lynette Yohn (Tim), and Pat Ford, eight grandchildren, Scott Hostler (Emily), Victoria Williams (Lamar), Nicole Hostler (fiancé, Gavin Gulash), Shania Graybill (Zack), Aimee Yohn, Ashley Yohn, Skyler Robinson (Maverick) and Luke Auxt, three great-grandchildren, Aubree Williams, Violet Williams, and Copper Robinson, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Ford, brother, John "Gene" Perry*, and son-in law, Gary Auxt.
She graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School in Renovo.
When she married, she became a homemaker and spent her time raising and caring for her family and home. As her family grew larger, she continued to support their interests and activities.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, New Bloomfield.
She enjoyed driving to the mountains, looking at nature and animals, and traveling to see the ocean in Massachusetts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with Rev. Robert Sharman officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery Mifflintown.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 811 Shermans Valley Road, New Bloomfield, PA 17068.
