Sharon Foust Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC on Jun. 23, 2023.
Sharon Patricia Foust, age 53, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023. Sharon died of complications from leukemia, having spent her final days surrounded by loving family.
Sharon was born in Mt. Holly, NJ. She spent her childhood in Pennsauken and Mt. Laurel and attended Boston University on a Naval ROTC scholarship. Sharon served 8 years in the US Navy, serving both at sea on the USS Willamette and at the Pentagon, where she was working during the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001. After leaving the Navy, Sharon earned an MBA at George Mason University and spent over a decade at IBM applying her analytical mind to finance and budgeting for the US Air Force. After moving from Virginia to Haddonfield in 2017, Sharon continued her financial management work for the Department of Agriculture at TFC Consulting.
Sharon had a quiet, thoughtful disposition that revealed a sharp mind and quick wit to those who knew her. Sharon invested herself in the community, serving as PTA treasurer of the Immanuel Lutheran School in Alexandria and of the Haddonfield Middle School. Above all, Sharon was devoted to her family, especially her loving husband of 21 years, Todd Foust and her two beloved children, Josie and Martin Foust. She proudly watched her son play baseball and football and her daughter and nephews perform in the high school orchestra and other Haddonfield performing arts groups. She delighted in the traditions of her extended family – holiday celebrations, Michigan visits, Cape May vacations, Potter Street dinners, and Medford family gatherings.
Sharon is very loved and sorely missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Todd Foust; her children, Josie and Martin Foust; two sisters, Lisa Megargle George (Glenn) and Eileen Tronosky (Peter); nieces and nephews Ted, Harry and Tommy George and Gabrielle, Petey and Alex Tronosky; sister in-law Kristin Butler (Dean) and her children Mickey (Morgan) and Tess (Michael) Moore; mother-in-law, Sharon Foust and step-mother Carol Megargle. Sharon is pre-deceased by her father William F. Megargle, Jr., her mother Angela Prichard, and her step-father Ken Prichard.
Family and friends are welcome to a visitation starting at 5:00PM on Wednesday, June 28 at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville. Reflections and an American Legion ceremony will follow at 7:00PM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 29 at Martin Luther Chapel, 4100 Terrace Avenue, Pennsauken followed by interment at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson.
The family appreciates the doctors and staff at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for their care for Sharon.
