Family and friends are invited to a gathering on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, from 12pm to 1pm at James A Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main St., Summerville, SC 29483. The memorial service will begin at 1:00pm in the Chapel.
Sharon was born on March 20th, 1948, in Great Bend, KS, a daughter of the late WC Mayfield and Dorothy Norris Mayfield. Sharon attended Issaquah High School and later started her career at Boeing as an administrative coordinator. She married the love of her life, Louis M. Goehring, and they spent 56 years together. She later moved to South Carolina and worked for Berkeley County Government until her retirement. She had many enjoyments in life including dancing, working in her yard, traveling, and most of all spending time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Goehring; her daughter, Dawn Goehring; her grandson, Jonathan Phillips; as well as her siblings: Rhonda Tampourlos (Dennis) and Vickie Ellis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Dean Mayfield and her parents.
