Born Wednesday, February 22, 1939, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Davis Elmo Mellott and Edna Anita (Bailey) Mellott. She was preceded in death by her husband George Richard Johnson, Sr.
She was a 1957 graduate of Williamsport High School. She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed playing Mah Jong
She is survived by her daughters, Andra A. Wood & husband Robert and Leah A. Musiker & husband Dan, sons, George R. Johnson, Jr. & wife Betty, Donald C. Johnson and wife Jill and Bradley D. Johnson, brother, D. Ragan Mellott, grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Megan, Sarah, Kelsey, Dylan, Joey, Alysa, Darby, Eva, Anya, Paul & Brady and thirteen great grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Dr. James R. Brooks officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Avenue Hagerstown, MD 21742.
