Sharon June Johnson, age 83, of Roberts, Wisconsin, passed away January 8th, 2026 at Hammond Health Services. Sharon was born on August 15, 1942 in River Falls, Wisconsin and was raised by her father, Russell White, and grandma, Mildred White. She attended high school in Roberts, Wisconsin and was united in marriage to Lowell Johnson on August 20th, 1966 at Roberts UCC. The couple was blessed with three children, Russell, Christine, and Neil.
Sharon always put her family first and encouraged them to be strong and independent, and to follow their dreams (even when she didn’t agree with their chosen paths). They always knew that the door to home was always open and she’d be there to welcome them with open arms.
Sharon loved spending time with her family and cherished being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She shared her love of baking, fishing, and gardening every chance she got. She was a waitress for many years at Roberts Cafe and The Dutch Oven Cafe in Baldwin where she worked with her sister, Marcia, and relished interacting with her customers. Sharon was a lifetime member of the Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ where she served on many boards, was active with the Women’s Fellowship, taught Sunday School, played bells, volunteered at the Roberts Food Pantry, and served many New England dinners. She played softball, was an avid bowler, and played mean games of 500 and cribbage. Sharon loved cats and had a vast collection of ceramic and other feline figurines. Her family, friends, and neighbors were often treated to her extensive homemade cookie and candy trays at Christmas, cute bunny cakes at Easter, delicious frosted sugar cookies, and scrumptious banana and cranberry breads at many coffee fellowships. Sharon also shared her talent of embroidery by gifting her hand stitched pillowcases and dish towels, as well as knitting personalized Christmas stockings for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They will feel her love for years to come as they wrap themselves in her cozy handmade quilts and afghans.
Sharon will remain in the hearts of her husband of 59 years, Lowell; her children, Russ (Monica) Johnson of Hammond, Chris (Al) Bohl of Baldwin, and Neil (Nora) Johnson of Baldwin; grandchildren, Stasi (Luke Stanway) Johnson, Tiana (Karl) Kristensen, Tyson (Kat Gronski) Ferrick, Calleigh Johnson, and Jack Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Paislee, Aurora, and Luna; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marcia Graf; father, Russell White; and grandma, Mildred White.
A Celebration of Life for Sharon will take place at 12:00, Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 at the Roberts Congregational United Church of Christ, 1001 Birch Drive, Roberts, WI, with a two hour visitation prior. A Visitation will also be held the night before, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.,Tuesday, January 13th, at O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 1010 Newton Street, Baldwin, WI.
