Sharon Ruth Green Kirkpatrick, 75, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Autumn Care of Waynesville. She was born to the late Ed Green and Ruth Suttles Green Frady, on August 4, 1950, in Clyde, NC.

In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her husband, Paul William Kirkpatrick, Jr.; and one brother, Jerry Hall.

She was a lifelong resident of Haywood County. Sharon was strong in her faith and previously served as a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a wonderful and devoted mother, who loved her children dearly. Sharon enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She made many cakes and pies for the people she loved. For many years, Sharon ran a flea market store called Family Treasures, in Maggie Valley.

Sharon is survived by a son, Shandon Kirkpatrick, of Clyde; a daughter, LaMista Merryday, of Florida; a brother, Jack Hall (Judy); three grandsons, Joey Aletras and Louis Tortora, and Skylar Orr; and one granddaughter, DeLaina Tortora. Extended family incudes two nieces, Jackie Boulay, and her husband David, of Clyde, and Karen Hall; a nephew, James Walls, and his wife, Barbara; and a close friend, Michael Tortora.

Per Sharon's wishes, no formal services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of her special fur-baby, "Deeseie Dog" to Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation at 256 Industrial Park Dr., Suite B, Waynesville, NC 28786
