Sharon Kruger Obituary

If you were fortunate enough to know Sharon, you knew one of the most loving people the Earth had to offer. With regret and sadness of heart, we share with you that she passed away on September 23rd, 2025, after her long battle with cancer. She was initially diagnosed more than two decades ago, and bravely fought it with a smile until she succumbed at the age of 76.

Sharon was born on Christmas Day, 1948 in Harlingen, Texas. In 1974 she met the love of her life, and future husband, Dan Kruger, in a small, local bar. Sharon would say they "got married in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout." Shortly after marriage, they would spend several adventurous years in the Outback of Australia. After their time in the wild, they settled down in Montana, birthing their first born son Paul Kruger. In 1980, after two years of living in Montana, their hearts brought them back down to Texas, where they had Jon Kruger a year later.

Sharon deeply loved her lord and savior, Jesus Christ. If you met her for the first time and happened to say, "bless you", then you were often in for a faith-filled conversation. It didn't matter if you were a bank teller, doctor or just passing with your grocery cart, strangers left carrying a smile.

Many of those who had a relationship with her said she had a pure heart. Her kind nature was eager to help, frequently offering her hand, chair, or money to get through those hard times, even when it wasn't the easiest thing for her.

While we are devastated by this loss, there is consolation in knowing that she is without pain, and in peace, having improved the lives of whom she met.

Sharon is survived by her sons, Paul and Jon Kruger, and her grandchildren, Andra, Brody and Bryson Kruger.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dan, her brother, Brent Bouldin, and her mother, Helen Harrell.
