Sharon Lindquist Obituary
Born on November 11, 1946, in Rockford, Sherri was the daughter of Robert W. and Faye B. (Bonzi) Bergstadt. She graduated from Rockford East High School and married the love of her life, Jeffrey A. Lindquist, on September 19, 1964.
Sherri dedicated many years of her career as an Executive Secretary at SunTech Industries. A devoted member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, she shared her faith by teaching Sunday School and serving as a Girl Scout Leader, positively impacting many young lives.
She had a passion for the simple joys of life - she loved cooking and baking, always excited to try new recipes. Her creativity and warmth extended to hobbies like sewing, ceramics, and planting flowers, which brought beauty to her home and joy to those around her. Sherri and Jeff also shared a love for travel and golfing, with cherished trips to Hawaii and Longboat Key, Florida.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Jeffrey; daughters Kristina (Ronald) Guastaferri of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Catherine (Tito Chatzis) Lindquist of Kalamata, Greece; granddaughters Sophia and Isabella Guastaferri; and her brother, Robert W. Bergstadt Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Bergstadt.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 20 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 675 N. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL.
