Sharon "Anne" Martin Smith, 76, of Russellville passed away on July 21, 2025 in High Point, NC surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 31, 1948 in Russellville, West Virginia; she was the daughter of the late Joe Martin and Marion Martin.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years in 2021, Leonard Mont Smith; sister, Karen Skaggs and a brother, Joe Keith Martin.

She was a lifelong member of Russellville Baptist Church. She was a skilled seamstress. She enjoyed making dresses for her granddaughters and she made many quilts over the years for the community, friends and family. She was an amazing cook. Sharon formerly worked for New River Health Clinic for 22 years with special remembrances toward all those who worked with her. Her favorite place to eat was Cathedral Café where she loved to eat her favorite carrot cake. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Sharon Lynn Young and Darin (favorite son-in-law) of Thomasville, NC; son, Leonard M. Smith, Jr., and Kim of Minooka, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, Joseph, Jamie, Melissa, Brittney, Samantha and Robbie; loved by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to lifelong friendships, Judy Martin, Cammie Simms, Wanda Schoolcraft, Cyndi Herndon and Dave Herndon and all the Russellville Baptist Church family. Also she leaves behind her "grandpups", Dexter, Champ , Rosie and Axel.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Russellville Baptist Church with Pastor Milburn Pack and Pastor James Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor. Friends may gather with the family at 1:00 until time of service at the church.
