Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Traditions of Saginaw. Age 81 years. The daughter of the late William and Linda (Simon) Brussow, Sharon was born on February 9, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married David Charles McMath on May 29, 1971. He predeceased her on December 21, 2019. Sharon helped Dave with their family business McMath Masonry for many years before she became a full time homemaker. Her biggest love was of her children Shannon and David and her two step children that she raised, Steven and Kelly. Sharon enjoyed bowling and golfing for many years. In her later years she enjoyed meeting the ladies for cards and lunches at Sullivan's.
Sharon leaves behind a daughter Shannon (Tom) Jacoby; grandson Thomas; Stepdaugher Kelly Bostwick along with granddaughter Ashley and great granddaughters Penelope and Freya. Grandson's Christopher (and family) and Logan Bostwick, along with her sister Nancy Winstanley and brother-in-law Nick Alfano and sister-in-law Micheline Brussow along with many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Sharon was preceded in death by one daughter Amber Lynn (at birth) Step son Steven Doughlas, son David Charles, brother-in-law Jerry Winstanley, sister Carol Alfano, and brother Bill Brussow.
Funeral Service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate. Private interment will take place in Roselawn Memorials Gardens. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Children's Hospital.
