Sharon Lee Michael, 82, of St. Joseph passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at The Willows in St. Joseph. Arrangements have been entrusted with Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph.
Sharon was born on July 7, 1943, in Benton Harbor to the late John and Francis (Mole) Culby.
Sharon was a 1961 graduate of Benton Harbor High School. On Feb. 10, 1962, in Benton Harbor, she married Thomas Gene Michael. Sharon enjoyed sewing, making Christmas coffee cakes, and spending time with her family. She loved to refinish antiques and having her glass of wine every night. She will be missed dearly by her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Thomas; three children: Teresa (Jim) Rodgers of Sodus, Patricia (Robert) Romeo of Englewood, Fla., and Chuck (Barbara) Michael of Fair Hope, Al.; six grandchildren: Heather (Dave) Morin, Brandon Rodgers, Sierra Romeo, Nico (Brittany) Romeo, Laurin Michael and Allie Michael; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Timm (Deb) Culby; and a sister-in-law, Carabeth Culby.
She is also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Culby.
Private family services will be held this week and a celebration of life service will be held later in the spring on the family farm in Sodus. Sharon's final resting place will be in Caldwell Cemetery in Eau Claire, Mich.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
