Sharon Alfreda Milom

Sharon Alfreda Milom, 61, of Ruckersville, Virginia, died on Monday, March 7, 2011, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born on August 1, 1949, in Logan, West Virginia, to Joyce Adkins Holloway of Sequim, Washington, and the late Alfred Muncey.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Mark Milom of Ruckersville, Matthew Milom and his wife, June, of Olathe, Kansas, Michael Milom and his wife, Brenda, of Lavergne, Tennessee, and Kristin Milom-Sweeney and her husband, Ryan, of Sequim, Washington, and her fiance, Junior Paitsel of Ruckersville.

Additional survivors include her sister, Denise Webb; her brother, Albert Betchie; and was Gran-Gran to McKenzie Shifflett and Mia Alexis Sweeney; and numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny Milom.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231 and/or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Attn: Donor Services P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
