Sharon Mae Peal, 75, of rural Clinton, Missouri, died Friday evening, November 14, 2025, at Adair Village in Clinton.
She was born January 23, 1950, in Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter of John R. Tomsick and Mary A. (Zadel) Tomsick. On August 4, 1997, she married Ronald E. Peal in Ft. Lupton, Colorado and he survives of the home.
Sharon graduated with a teaching degree from the University of North Colorado in 1972 and was a home economics teacher. After a short career in insurance, she graduated with a master's degree in counseling from Colorado State University in 1992. She worked as a counselor until retirement in 2005. After moving to Missouri, Sharon worked as a counselor one day a week at Leesville R-8 near Clinton as a counselor for several years. She loved her students they loved her too.
She was an excellent seamstress, making dresses, quilts, and many other household items. She liked to travel and enjoyed being outdoors, including hiking and cross country skiing. Family time was very important and she enjoyed a variety of activities, including celebrating holidays, dying Easter eggs and baking with her grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Windsor and volunteered at the Windsor Senior Center.
In addition to her husband Ron, survivors include a daughter, Ronda Peal, Oak Grove, Mo.; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Morris, and Karson Morris, both of Oak Grove, Mo.; a sister, Shirley Welborn (Jerry), Cape Coral, Florida; 2 sisters-in-law, Carol Todd (Steve), Clinton and Carla Morgan, of Overland Park; a nephew, Shannon Welborn; a niece, Brenna Ruckman (John); and several great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Richard Lee Peal.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
