Sharon Pratte Obituary

May 25, 1963 - August 28, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Pratte, who passed away on August 28, 2024. Born on May 25, 1963, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Paul and Margaret Nobert. She was a cherished sister to Paula Nobert of Placerville, CA; Mary Sundberg and husband John of Camino, CA; Mark Nobert of Manchester, NH; and David Nobert and wife Sheryl of Roseville, CA.

Sharon was a graduate of New Hampshire Technical College and dedicated much of her career to working as a Payroll Administrator at Remi Vista in Redding, CA, until 2019. Beyond her professional life, Sharon had an immense passion for nature and adventure. She loved to travel, hike, and kayak, with a special love for hiking in national parks and kayaking in her favorite places, Whiskeytown Lake and Lake Tahoe in California.

Sharon's life journey took her from her childhood home in Manchester, NH, to Sacramento, CA, in 1996, and later to Redding, CA, in 2010. Most recently, she resided in Willis, TX, after moving there in 2022.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Lester, and their son, Jacob Lester, who will forever treasure her memory.

A memorial service to honor Sharon's life will be held in Sacramento, CA, on October 5, 2024. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, kindness, and the love she brought into the lives of all who knew her.

It´s the eve of your birthday, (5/25) and I can´t believe you´re gone... sometimes I say oh I have to call Sara and it hits me you´re not here.
I gaze at this photo of all of us and it makes me smile.

You said my name the other night in my sleep. The tone of your voice sounded like you wanted me to wake up. No joke. I sat straight up in bed. Of course you weren´t there. Christmas is almost here. I´ve been thinking about you and about your family being without you this Christmas.

I am so saddened to read about Sharon's passing. Although I have not seen her in a very long time, she was a part of my life growing up. Sharon was always such a delight. Deepest sympathies to the Nobert family. Gone too soon.

Dear Sharon, You were both a friend and a sister to me all through our lives and I already miss you dearly.

Your first love and dear husband Kevin Paul Pratte
(28 Feb 1962-7 Oct 1990) should not be forgotten in remembering your life journey. You had the blessing of sweet young love and the pain of sudden heartbreak at such an early age.

You finally processed the overwhelming loss, moved to California and never stopped shining your light on that which you wished to manifest in your life. A loving family. You were such an inspiration. Then, along came Steven Lester and start of that loving family with the much celebrated birth of your son Jacob Lester. You had created a new abundant life chapter and you lived it to the fullest.

Sharon I take comfort in believing that, like Keven and all your family and friends that have left this earth, your beautiful Spirit is soaring with the angels.

"You die to your flesh and are born into your Spirit". That Spirit is God."
