Sharon K Ramirez, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, in San Antonio, TX, after a valiant journey with dementia. Born in the quiet coastal town of Port Lavaca, TX, Sharon's life was one marked by joy, resilience, and a passion for adventure.
Sharon's academic pursuits led her to earn a bachelor's degree in accounting administration, a field in which she excelled and dedicated many years of service. She was a respected professional who worked at Southwest Research in the Accounting Administration department, where her meticulous nature and warm personality were greatly valued by her colleagues and peers.
Throughout her life, Sharon's interests were as vibrant and dynamic as her personality. In her younger years, she reveled in the great outdoors, partaking in camping, water skiing, and boating, embracing the beauty and exhilaration of nature. As she matured, her love for exploration grew, leading her to travel extensively across the United States and around the world. Yet, of all her passions, dancing the night away with her beloved husband, George, remained her favorite pastime. Their love story was one of mutual adoration and a shared zest for life, evident to all who knew them.
Sharon's greatest legacy, however, is the family she nurtured with care and unconditional love. She is survived by her devoted husband, George, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Her spirit lives on through her sons, Jason and his wife Nivia, and George Jr. and his wife Liz. Sharon's joy was multiplied by her grandchildren, Naomi, Jason Jr., Angeline, Isabel, George III, Joshua, and Briana. Each of them carried a piece of her heart and her teachings of love and kindness.
The family circle expanded with the arrival of her seven great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Cole, Christopher, Roman, Alexander, Gracie, and Olivia. Sharon reveled in her role as a great-grandmother, imparting wisdom and sharing in the wonder of each new generation. Her stories, laughter, and the twinkle in her eye during family gatherings will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
Sharon's life was one of engagement and purpose, touching the lives of many with her generosity of spirit and her infectious enthusiasm. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. To be in Sharon's company was to experience life's moments more fully, with a greater sense of appreciation for the simple pleasures and the grand adventures alike.
As we bid farewell to Sharon K Ramirez, we celebrate her remarkable journey through life. Her indomitable spirit, the love she shared, and the memories she created will continue to inspire and guide us. Sharon's story does not end with her passing but lives on in the hearts of those she loved and in the legacy of kindness and joy she leaves behind.
In honoring Sharon's memory, we remember not just the end of a life well-lived but the enduring impact of a soul that truly made a difference. Her grace, her laughter, and her love will forever be the treasures we carry forward. Sharon's life was a testament to the beauty of fully embracing each day, and her memory will continue to be a beacon of light for all who were blessed to know her.
