It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Lee Rolfs, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who departed this life on February 18, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on September 28, 1961 in Maryland to Fredrick Royer and Joyce (George) Royer. She was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Royer. Sharon was a beacon of kindness and selflessness, always placing the needs of others before her own and going the extra mile to lend a helping hand.
Sharon was known for her generous spirit and unwavering dedication to her community. She was actively involved with Feeding the Hungry in multiple communities across Southern Maryland. Her compassionate nature extended to the senior community, for whom she lovingly crocheted items to bring warmth and comfort.
Sharon's love for her family was unparalleled. She cherished every moment spent with her loving husband, Harold Rolfs, her son, Hunter Rolfs, and her precious granddaughter, Brinley Rolfs (Felicia Rolfs, Brinley's Mom). Additionally, she is survived by her mother, Joyce Royer, sister, Lisa Royer, and her brother, Robert Royer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever remember her kindness and generosity.
A devout member of her Bible study group, Sharon found joy and solace in her faith, and she deeply treasured the fellowship and spiritual growth it brought into her life.
A gathering in Sharon's honor will be held on February 26, 2025, at Raymond Funeral Services Chapel, followed by a service to celebrate her life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers or Faith Temple Baptist Church in La Plata, Maryland, in support of their food insecurity outreach pantry. Sharon's dedication to helping those in need will continue to inspire and uplift the community she served so faithfully.
Sharon Lee Rolfs will be remembered for her boundless kindness, her unwavering dedication to others, and her profound love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness that will endure in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
