Sharon Rose Potter Spath passed away on November 14, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Sharon was the oldest of seven children, born on November 3, 1937, to Arthur and Mary (Queenan) Potter. She was pleased to call Louisville home her entire life.
Sharon was a lifelong Catholic and member of the Queens Daughters. She proudly served her church communities as a volunteer catechist and program coordinator, lector and trainer, parish council member, and a docent at the Cathedral of Assumption. In addition, Sharon was a tour guide and community volunteer.
Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Spath. She is survived by her three children, Bill Spath, Jr., Karen Spath and Kathy Mullen (Rob); six grandchildren, Katie Guthrie (David), Scott Mullen (Cynthia), Leah Mullen (Andy Huber), Amy Spath, Maggie Spath, and Will Mullen (Olivia Win'e); seven great-grandchildren survive Sharon as well. Sharon leaves behind her siblings, Gayle Block (Gene), Art Potter (Judy), Mike Potter (Sally), Dennis Potter (Maureen), and Terri Schlader (Dave); brothers- and sisters-in-law from the Spath side, and nieces, nephews, and cousins galore. Sharon's sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Jim Helm, predeceased her.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 10:00am, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 7813 Shelbyville Road. Visitation will take place at the church from 8:30am until mass begins.
Sharon's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the caregivers and administrators at Dominion Senior Living and the Palliative Care and Hosparus teams at Baptist Health East. They have served Sharon and her family as only angels on earth could do.

Growing up I was in awe of my "big" cousins. Sharon was the leader of the big cousins. I have admired her all my life. She was such a good person, and her volunteer work was exceptional and widespread. She touched a lot of lives. I will really miss Sharon at all the family get-togethers. I was honored to have her, my biggest cousin, for my entire life. Rest in peace, Sharon, and tell my parents I love them and still miss them every day.
