With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sharon Kay Skinner on November 23, 2024, at the age of 80. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and respected local business owner.
Born on March 15, 1944, in Bryan, TX, and raised in Wilson, Oklahoma, Sharon was the cherished daughter of Clara and Vernon Adams. As the owner of The Horn of Plenty Health Food Store in Gonzales, she dedicated over 43 years to serving her community. Sharon’s passion for helping others made her store a beloved gathering place for locals, touching the lives of countless customers, employees, and friends.
As a single mother, Sharon showed unwavering devotion to her daughter, Tammy, working tirelessly to provide a loving home and a bright future. Her strength and determination were evident in every aspect of her life. She was a source of wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love for her family.

Adams, and her brother, Barry Adams.
Services: Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home on December 2, 2024, from 9:00–10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place immediately after at Hope Haven Garden of Memory.
Sharon will be remembered not only for her incredible contributions to the business community but also for her boundless love and devotion to her family. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and compassion will forever inspire those who knew and loved her.
