Sharon Strait Obituary
Born in Little Falls, NY on September 7, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Evelyn (Dittman) Swartz.
Sherry embodied a life marked by faith, generosity, and love. Her gentle spirit and unwavering devotion shone through her active participation in the Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon and contributed to the card ministry as well as the hospitality committee. Her culinary talents were second only to her generous heart. Friends and family often found comfort in her deliciously baked pies and cakes.
She is survived by her devoted husband Robert Strait whom she married on February 4, 2006; sister Yvonne Rumrill; cousins Taya and Darla Delsignore; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church, 7967 NY-30, Delanson, NY 12053.
Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service at the church on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
Interment will be at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown, NY, on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church, 7967 NY-30, Delanson, NY 12053.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
