Our dear mother, Sharon Elaine Fuller Wallerstein, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 27, 2025. Her body stayed strong for so long, but her mind grew weary-and in truth, we began grieving the loss of our vibrant, creative, talented, organized, ambitious, and generous mother long before this day. After she and Dad were struck by a car while walking on a rainy night in 2016, Mom's life forever changed. Yet even through challenges, her spirit remained beautifully stubborn, determined, and resilient.

Sharon was born on March 28, 1935, in Huntsville, Utah, to Otis Leland Fuller and Elaine Grow Fuller. Her family later moved to Ogden, where she spent most of her life. She attended Ogden City Schools, graduated from Ogden High School, and took courses at Weber State College before earning a technical degree from the Kree School of Electrolysis in New York. She went on to own and operate her own electrolysis business for 27 years-helping people feel confident and cared for through her skill and professionalism.

Over the years, Mom worked in a variety of roles, including at El Monte Golf Course, where she felt completely at home among the greens and sunshine. She was a gifted golfer with one of the most beautiful swings you could imagine-smooth, strong, and unmistakably hers. She played in and won many tournaments over the years. She later retired from the Internal Revenue Service, where she worked as both a tax examiner and an illustrative artist. Her artistic eye and attention to detail were evident in everything she did.

A talented artist and designer, Mom could draft professional house and landscape plans right at her kitchen table. Her creative touch shaped her own homes and yards, her children's, and those of many friends. She also ran a home fragrance business, Mr. Scent-Station, which reflected her entrepreneurial spirit and love for creating beauty and comfort in everyday life.

In 1999, she and Dad moved from Ogden to Ivins, Utah, where she fell in love with the red mountains and desert landscapes. She later lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Washington, Utah, surrounded by care and family.

A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mom served faithfully in many callings, particularly in the Primary and Young Women's programs. She brought her creative energy to Road Shows-designing sets, painting scenery, and sewing costumes that made each production shine. She volunteered in her community, schools, and scouting organizations, always offering her time and talents to help others.

Mom's interests included golf, gardening, sewing, cross-stitch, cooking, traveling, painting, designing, building, playing cards and dominos, and attending local cultural events. She took playing golf, card games and dominos very seriously, and wouldn't give you a mulligan or let you change the rules in your favor easily. She loved children and animals, and was deeply devoted to her family. Food was her love language, and no one ever left her home without being offered something to eat. She was a woman of action-always working on a project, rarely sitting still, sleeping very little, and accomplishing more than seemed possible in one lifetime.

Sharon married Richard Herbert Wallerstein on May 2, 1953, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. Together they raised five children. Surviving are her children Steven Richard Wallerstein of Ogden, Michele (Glen) Ashdown of Washington, UT, John Scott Wallerstein of Ogden, and James Eric Wallerstein of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, daughter Lisa, sister Audrey Robertson, brother Otis Kay Fuller, and grandson Wesley.

Mom loved golf, gardening, her cats, bacon, Diet Pepsi, and anything sweet. She lived with purpose, took pride in her work, and faced life's changes with quiet strength.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah. A brief viewing will be from 12:30–1:15 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at the Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, Utah.
