Sharon Jeanelle Swartz Watts , age 76, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, made her eternal journey from this life at a local health care facility in Mobile, Alabama, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1948, to her parents: Jean Nicholas Swartz and Fannie C. Gill Swartz, who preceded her in death.

Sharon resided in Mobile most of her life and following graduation from W. P. Davidson High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Abner Thomas Watts on January 23, 1971. She spent her entire secretarial career with local Real Estate and Property Management Agents, Roberts Brothers, for more than 50 years.

Sharon was big on family. One of her greatest joys was gathering family and preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She, along with her sisters, would spend hours preparing these meals from scratch just to enjoy being able to see the family gather and feast.

Sharon was preceded in death by her former spouse, Abner Thomas Watts, and her youngest daughter, Melissa Jeanelle Watts Smith; paternal grandparents: Ray Benton Swartz and Florence Virginia Maynard Swartz; and maternal grandparents: James Jasper Gill and Mary Jane McFall Gill.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Michele Watts Smith; devoted son, Michael Thomas Watts (Louis); sisters: Carolyn Virginia Swartz Clark (Ray), and Deborah Susan Swartz Owens (Wayne); granddaughters: Darian Smith and Cassidy Smith; niece, Angela White Harrington; nephew, Christopher Wayne Owens; sisters-in-law: Dianne Marie Watts Parker and DeLores Kaye Watts Collier; and many loving cousins and other relatives.

A celebration of her life will be on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, Alabama. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. and the chapel service will begin at 2:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held for the family immediately following the service.
