Her light shone through her song, her stories, her humor, and her creativity. She was also an avid gardener, carefully planting and tending a small garden every spring. In retirement, Sharon loved to volunteer with the Council on Aging in the Ombudsman program, as it gave her a way to give back to her community. More recently, she enjoyed learning woodcarving and found joy in carving items for others. She was also a member and volunteer at Unity of the Blue Ridge in Mills River.
Sharon was a daughter of the late Curtis Eugene and Dorothy Marie Ellermeyer White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Joyce White. Sharon loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them, especially at the family farm in Illinois.
Left to cherish her memory is her wife of 36 years, Julia Keene Wagner; sister, Stacey Little; brother, Terry White; niece, Elyse Coil and her husband Dyllon; nephews, Erien White and his wife Hailey and their daughter Rebecca, Lane Liggett and his wife Shelby and their daughter Lorelei, and Jake Little; and her fur babies, Daisy May, River Lee, Caleb, and Osheah.
