Sharon J. Yirkovsky, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. She was born on October 18, 1939, to the late George and Josephine (Trybula) Radtke.
On January 10, 1960, Sharon married Richard Kramer, and together they shared a wonderful life and raised their son, Rod Kramer of Grand Prairie, Texas. Richard preceded her in death. Later, Sharon met, fell in love with, and married Thomas Yirkovsky, who also preceded her in death in 2008. When Sharon and Thomas joined their lives, they blended their families, and Sharon lovingly embraced her stepchildren-Pam, Mary, Jim, Jean, Kay, and Mark-as her own.
Sharon was blessed with a large and loving family, including 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, and many great-step-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Russell Gilbertson, and sister-in-law, Barbara Radtke.
Sharon was a proud graduate of D.C. Everest High School. She devoted her life to creating a warm and loving home, finding great joy in raising her son, Rod, and caring for her family. Later, Sharon worked in housekeeping at the Wausau Insurance Company's training facility and hotel, where she was known for her dedication and hard work until her retirement in 1990.
A lifelong member of Peace United Church of Christ, Sharon was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She loved to bake, read, host gatherings, and especially to prepare large holiday meals for her family. Her home was always a place of love, laughter, and good food.
In her later years at Primrose Assisted Living, Sharon was affectionately known as the "mother hen." Always looking after others, she took it upon herself to help her fellow residents-cutting up meals, offering comfort, and ensuring everyone felt cared for.
Sharon touched countless lives with her kindness, compassion, and selflessness. She will be remembered always for her loving heart and her unwavering dedication to family and friends. Her family finds comfort knowing she is reunited with Richard and Thomas, and that her love will continue to guide them always.
