Sharon Ann Zickafoose (nee' Rinehart), 83, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, following an extended illness.

She was born December 4, 1941, in Chillicothe to the late Ray "Bud" and Ruth (nee' Easterday) Rinehart. A 1959 graduate of Huntington High School, she married Marlin James Zickafoose that same year, on July 1st, and together they shared 66 years of love and partnership.

Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her greatest joy in life was her son, Brent and her granddaughter, Zoey. She enjoyed gardening, crafting and spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Marlin; her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Jodi Zickafoose; her granddaughter, Zoey Zickafoose and Alan Eby; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita "Neats" and Ronald Uhrig, Beverly and Timothy Diehl; her brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Sharon Rinehart; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Heartland Hospice for their years of compassionate care and dedication. A special thank you to Courtney Cummings and Jamie Blevins, whose kindness and support made them feel like family, and to nieces, Ashton Weber and Kassie McKee for generously giving their time to help care for Sharon in her final months.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the American Brain Foundation: www.americanbrainfoundation.org/?form=Donate
