Sharron Ellen Chesson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in Tomball, Texas. Born on December 6, 1941, in Port Arthur, Texas, Sharron embraced life with an outgoing spirit that radiated warmth and love to all who had the honor of knowing her.
For 36 years, Sharron dedicated her career as a Grading Analyst at the Bayer Polymer Plant, where she gained the respect and admiration of her colleagues. A graduate of Port Arthur Business College, she was not only professionally accomplished but also sought to enrich the lives of those around her with her remarkable cooking skills. Renowned for her hospitality, Sharron took great joy in preparing meals for special occasions, celebrating her love for family through food. She passed on her cherished Cajun cooking traditions to her children and grandchildren, ensuring that her legacy would live on through the generations.
A woman of faith, Sharron loved God and her family above all else. She delighted in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories and nurturing the strong bonds that defined her life. Her welcoming nature and the genuine smile she wore created an atmosphere of comfort and joy for friends and family alike.
Sharron has a special place in her heart for the painting of her as an Indian Princess, Kisselpoo, at The Museum of the Gulf Coast, because her dad was the artist.
Sharron is survived by her devoted husband, Charles Chesson; her sons, Daniel Shane Edgerly, along with his wife, Lisa; Marc Edward Edgerly and her daughter, Vickie Mackey and her husband, Mark.
