Sharron L. Sorensen, age 84, of Stoughton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 30, 2025 at Milestone Senior Living Memory Care. Sharron was born on August 9, 1940 in Madison, the daughter of Frank and Nellie Thornton. She graduated from Oregon High School and was united in marriage to Lloyd “Pete” Sorenson in 1964.
Sharron worked for many years at Swiss Colony and Newell Industries. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, fishing, camping, ceramics, and her monthly card club.
Sharron is survived by her daughter, Shannon Sorenson, granddaughters Shelby and Shania Holden, and twin sister, Shirley Nicholson. She was predeceased by her husband, Pete, and sisters Linda (Terry) Erdahl and Lizz (Dick) Eith.
The family would like to thank the staff at Milestone Senior Living Memory Care and Agrace Hospice for their loving care and support.
A gathering to remember Sharron will be held in the spring.
