Judy Ella Marie Sorenson

Judy Ella Marie Sorenson, the daughter of Harold and Agnes (Fingerson) was born October 28, 1941, in Spencer, IA. Her childhood years were spent in the Spencer area where she attended school and graduated from Spencer High School in 1960. She went on to graduate from Waldorf College in Forest City, IA.

Judy was a lifetime rural Dickens, IA resident, living in the house she grew up in. She worked as a bookkeeper for Crescent Electric for 23 years until her retirement in 1986. Judy enjoyed reading, bus tours, watching sports, watching Caitlin Clark and was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. She taught Sunday School, served on the funeral committee, was a member of the Miriam Circle and ushered.

Judy passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at her home at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joel.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister-in-law, Ellen Sorenson of Spencer, IA; nephews: Jon (Linda) Sorenson of Terril, IA, and Jay (Lori) Sorenson of Dickens, IA; niece, Carol Bates of Arnolds Park, IA; grandnephews: Nicholas, Nathan, and Thomas (Dani) Sorenson; grandnieces: Christina Sorenson and Kimberly (Brandon) Ross; great-grandnephew, Oliver Ross; great-grandnieces, Madeline Ross and Luna Sorenson; other relatives and many friends.
