Shashi K. Bansal, 55 of Wynnewood, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
He was born on March 5, 1969 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. He was the cherished youngest son of the late Ramesh Chand and Vijay Bansal and the beloved son-in-law of Murari Lal Gupta and late Kamla Gupta.
By the age of 23, he had obtained both his Bachelor of Commerce, and licensure for Chartered Accounting. His expertise in information technology and accounting laid the groundwork for pioneering the use of computers in the family's engineering and manufacturing enterprises. Undeterred by the lack of prior experience, he next joined Enterprise Marketing Engineer, contributing significantly to marketing and sales for industrial electrical parts from local and international suppliers.
Subsequently, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey, establishing his own accounting firm specializing in excise tax. To complement his accounting business, he attained his Bachelor of Laws to represent his clients in excise tax courts in New Delhi. Not content with his achievements so far, he further ventured into software development, creating bespoke accounting software, Softex, utilized within his firm and sold to outside clients. He was introduced to outsourced book-keeping from one of his excise clients, which established the foundation for his thriving business today and eventually brought him to the United States.
In 1995, he united in marriage with Shalini Bansal, who lovingly survives him. In 1997, he was blessed with his elder daughter Naini Bansal, who survives him. In 2003, their family was completed with the birth of his younger daughter Nishi Bansal, who survives him. While life brought many financial, personal, and emotional challenges, he will be remembered for his ever-present dimpled smile and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His family knows him for being the mischievous one, and the one who took care of everyone else. He will be remembered as a determined force of nature who accomplished whatever he set his mind to, and as the life of the party.
In addition to his wife and daughters, he is survived by; two elder brothers Ashwani K. (Seema) Bansal, Digvijay (Vandana) Bansal; brother-in-law Devesh (Sangeeta) Gupta; nieces and nephews Ashima (Aneesh) and their children Kiaan and Kavin, Nandita, Shikhar (Swarnima), Prakhar, Arunima (Aayush) and Ashutosh.
Friends are invited to attend services from 1:00-3:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2024 at Cavanagh Patterson Funeral Home, 43 E. Baltimore Ave., Media.
