Shaun played basketball and football before graduating from Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig High School. He loved playing basketball with his brothers and watching the Minnesota Vikings. Shaun was an outdoorsman, enjoying wild rice harvesting, setting net and catching fish, bough picking, and spirit fires. He loved wild rice, mashed potatoes, and China buffets. Most of all, he loved spending time with his 4 children.
Those greeting Shaun in the spirit world are his grandparents, Angeline and Richard Cutbank, Sr.; brother, Dakota Windom; sister, Angel Windom; numerous aunts and uncles.
Those Shaun leaves behind to forever cherish his loving memory are his parents, Rebecca and Robin Windom, Sr.; son, Shaun Allen Windom, Jr.; daughters, Shariah, Ambria, and Aurora Windom; brothers, Robin Jr., Kyote, Harley, and Wakon Windom; sisters, Jennifer and Lindsy Windom, Summer Fairbanks, and Rebecca JSara Windom; grandma, Anna Windom; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
A two-night wake for Shaun will begin Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. and continue until his Saturday, September 16, 2023, 11:00 a.m. service, all to be held at the Pennington Revival Center in Pennington, MN. Pastor Octavius "O.T." Lopez will officiate. Those helping to lay Shaun to rest are Robin Windom, Sr., Robin Windom, Jr., Kyote Windom, Harley Windom, Wakon Windom, and Antonio Windom. Honorary pallbearers are all Shaun's family and friends. Interment will be in the John Brown Cutbanks Cemetery in Pennington, MN.
Shaun's care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.northernpeace.com

Shaun was such an important member of a great group of students I was lucky enough to teach in a six grade classroom. He volunteered to play the role of Bear in our class presentation of "How the Bear Lost His Tail" - a very gutsy move, but he was up to it and did a fine acting job. We had so much fun that year and Shaun was always a big part of it. He was such a good kid and I am sad to learn of his passing.
