Shawn Cory "Flipper a.k.a. Flip" Bowman

Shawn Cory Bowman (Flipper a.k.a. Flip), of Front Royal, VA, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025.
Shawn was born September 28, 1972 in Waynesboro, VA. He married Catrina (Settle) Bowman June 12, 2010 at the Shenandoah River Lot. He was a man of many passions, one of which was motorcycles, cars and trucks. He loved riding back country roads, drag racing his motorcycle at several drag strips including his own and racing his car at Eastside Speedway. He enjoyed building bikes of his own and for others. He was the current president of the Unknown Fools MC and even started the racing club in memory of his father in law Tuna. When he wasn't at the clubhouse with his family and friends, you could find him at home with his pup, Zoey, who followed him everywhere he went. He had a love of all animals, and had been raising chickens for years. He was known to even sneak new chicks by his family from time to time to raise. Shawn was a people person, and would do anything in his power to help his family and friends in a time of need.
Along with his loving wife, Catrina, Shawn is survived by his daughters, Haley Bowman (Dylan) and Nettie Bowman; sister, Amy Lucas; mother, Linda Lucas; mother in law, Dale Settle; aunts and uncles, Donna Rankin, Sandra Kay Davis (Mitchell), Lloyd Bowman (Ann), Charlie Bowman (Sharon); his beloved dog, Zoey; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Agnes and Bob Bowman, his father Danny McCauley, father in law, Charlie "Tuna" Settle; and aunt, Joyce Ann Bowman (Kachi).
His family will receive friends Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A memorial service will take place Friday, July 18, 2025 at Jones at 3:00 pm.
