Shawn R Caldwell, 63 of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday July 26, 2025 at home with his wife holding his hand.
Shawn was the youngest of three children. As a dependent of a military father, Shawn moved numerous times spending time at a dozen different military installations in the US and even two years in Taiwan. Each area he lived in helped to build his character. He spent his life being a loving son, husband and father, and friend to all he knew.
He had an associates degree in the computer field which made him an amazing computer wizard and allowed him to work various capacities in the computing world. Shawn often said he was a jack of all trades but master of none. His last employer, SAIC was a wonderful company to work for and blessed him with their caring attitudes over the last 7 months of his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother Elaine Ann Caldwell.
Shawn is survived by his wife of 32 years Cindy L Tibbetts and five children, Shawn "Devan" Tibbetts, Collin Taylor Caldwell wife Savannah Fleming, Kayla Marie Caldwell, Megan Renea Caldwell, and Alexis Ann Caldwell, and Grandson Fenric Caldwell, he is also Survived by his father Robert J Caldwell, and his sisters Robin Caldwell wife Karen Parrott, and Wendy Caldwell.
The family would like to give special thanks to Methodist Medical Center for their excellent care and to SAIC for their wonderful help in our time of need.
At Shawns request there will be no services. In lieu of Flowers please give to the charity of your choice, in Shawn's name.
