Shawn Hazzard Colwell, 14, of Monahans Texas passed away on February 29, 2024 in Monahans, Texas. Shawn was born in San Angelo, Texas to Levi and Felisha Colwell on October 7, 2009.
Shawn brought immense joy to his family and friends from the very beginning. Despite his short time with us, Shawn made an unforgettable impact on the lives of those he encountered, leaving cherished memories that will be held close to the hearts of many.
Shawn was a vibrant and fun soul, always eager to game with his friends, play tennis at school, and compare how tall he was next to his dad. Shawn excelled academically and demonstrated a passion for discovering new things. His love for band, tennis, and technology showcased a promising future that was tragically cut short.
In addition to his intellectual pursuits, Shawn had a remarkable talent for building meaningful connections. His compassion, empathy, and selflessness endeared him to both peers and adults alike. He was a true friend, always ready with a smile and a helping hand, embodying the values of kindness and understanding.
Though his departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who loved him, Shawn's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his grieving family.
He is survived by his parents Levi and Felisha Colwell, siblings Jessica Nicole Colwell, Brooke Denise Colwell, and Nathan War Colwell, grandparents, Corky and Karen Colwell, Don and Jennie Lofton, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
