Publish in a newspaper

Kenneth Duane Littlejohn went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 8, 2025 at the age of 56. Kenneth was born on October 21, 1968 in Kermit, Texas to Valda Rowe Littlejohn and Dallas Lee Littlejohn. He was the only boy out of the 3 children.

Kenneth was raised in Monahans, Texas, and was an extremely talented athlete for the Monahans Loboes. He was the quarterback of the high school football team, he ran track where he competed in the 400 m relay, the hurdles, and also high jump, but Kenneth's favorite sport, where he truly shined, was basketball. Kenneth was noticed by college scouts and signed with Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, for his awesome skills in basketball. His number one fan was his mother, Valda. Kenneth married the love of his life, Nora Ortiz Littlejohn, on September 1, 1989, and the following year, his only child was born to him.

Kenneth was known to be a hard-working man. He worked for J&C Well Service until his kidneys failed him. Kenneth began dialysis treatment and was able to have his first kidney transplant in 1996. He began working with Southern Union Gas, now known as Texas Gas Service, in 1999 and was still working with the company at the time of his death, 26 years total. His kidneys failed him again in 2005 and multiple medical issues arose, but despite this, Kenneth still continued to work. He worked through his pain, his kidney failure, his dialysis treatment, his skin cancer, his carpal tunnel, his nerve pain, and never gave up. He didn't quit because he believed he needed to provide for his family and he did that until the very end.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents: Valda Rowe Littlejohn and Dallas Lee Littlejohn.

He is survived by his wife: Nora Ortiz Littlejohn, his only daughter: Kristin D'Ann Littlejohn; his grandchildren: E'ydriick Rodriguez and Ashlie McDuffee and Ashlie's mom, Christal McDuffee; and his 2 sisters: Jamie Rowe and Melissa Anderson. He had one step-daughter: Norma Franco Cavender and husband Charley Cavender, and 3 grandchildren: Justin Franco, Aurelio Ernest Rodriguez Jr., and Stacie Alexis Rodriguez, and one great-grandson: Aurelio Ernest Rodriguez III. He also had multiple nieces and nephews: James Rowe, Kyla Rowe, Dustin Rowe, Mikalah Lujan and Kyndrik Anderson

A funeral service will be held at 9 am on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 3rd & Dwight Church of Christ in Monahans, TX. Burial will follow at Monahans Cemetery at 10 am. Pallbearers will be Arthur Sedillos, Kyndrik Anderson, Dustin Rowe, Thomas Haupt, Baily Hill, and Jose Torres. Honorary pallbearers will be E'ydriick Rodriguez and Aurelio Ernesto Rodriguez III.
